Chickanellas Scratch Kitchen: A Women-Owned Haven for Delicious Sandwiches & More

This was absolutely divine! With left over Ahi Tuna we added to our breakfast. Mmmmmm it was delicious both times! Thank you for such a great evening with excellent service.

This is literally everyone’s favorite place to eat on the island. In fact, if you don’t get there early, you probably are going to stand in quite a line especially on the weekends. We went for brunch this week and I totally get this excitement around this place. We all ordered sandwiches and we were all as equally impressed with their food. This is probably my favorite restaurant on the island.

Great restaurant and great food. I especially loved the loaded potato soup. The people who work in here make you feel welcome and are very nice. I have been here multiple times and it is always really good.

We ended up at this gem of a spot after learning the resort’s restaurant was no longer in operation—and honestly, we wish we had known about it years ago during our annual summer visits. The food was amazing, and even though it was super busy, our server was kind, patient, and sweet. The portion sizes were generous, which worked out perfectly for our two small children. The French toast casserole was especially delicious. Everything we ordered was tasty, and I highly recommend this place to anyone staying at the resort! The owner or manager was also kind to us. Thank you again for a good experience.

We had a great girl’s night dinner at Chickenella’s! Excellent friendly service, great food and drinks. Ashlyn was such a sweet attentive waitress. The stuffed mushrooms were excellent, as well as the breadsticks, mashed potatoes, meatloaf, grilled shrimp and ranch dressing. The iced coffee and salty rose were also well made.

Best food on Grand Lake by far and Staff are extremely cordial, welcoming also met Bob manager recommended perfect wine paired with massive Meatloaf and blackened shrimp Cheddar grits!! Ashlyn is very attentive in customer service!! We went back next day Sarah served us in the bar/lounge with their Superb house infused Pecans WOW

Great place! Disappointed no beer on tap. Homemade vodka! Older building, decorated super cute! Got there shortly before they closed for lunch, but they were happy to seat and serve us on our time. We never felt rushed. Friendly service! Huge portions. Hope to try again.

My wife and I were in town for our birthdays over the weekend. On Saturday we made the excellent choice of going there for lunch. The food was fantastic. On the way out the door, we grabbed a couple Bourbon Carmel Pecan cinnamon rolls because they looked so fantastic. I think it was the best cinnamon roll I ever had. I called the next morning and reserved two more for us. I’m glad I did because they were flying off the shelf and they would have sold them many times over if I hadn’t called ahead. We sat down to have lunch and my wife ordered the hippie chick sandwich with turkey and bacon. Oh my, that sandwich was a piece of art. I had the French toast casserole and it was wonderful. Everyone was so kind. The service was really quick for what great food it was. I highly recommend Chickanellas to anyone. We did go on a weekend I February, not the 4th of July or some other high traffic time. The food is worth the wait!!! Can’t wait to go back.
